About the Founder

Paul Garza is passionate about finding financial solutions for clients.  In the past 10 years, he has served clients in Land Development, Home Building, BTR, and Commercial Real Estate.

Paul has over 30 years of corporate finance, accounting, and management experience. Over the past 15 years, Paul’s focus has been on commercial, retail, and residential real estate. In his previous roles as VP of Accounting & Finance, he has supported organizations in securing permanent financing totaling over $450M. Specifically, obtaining financing of $150M for a home builder/investor to create over 4,000 single-family rental portfolio SFR in Texas. He also assisted in and managed a real estate team to evaluate a $500M office building portfolio merger with a publicly traded REIT. His background also includes leadership in business consulting roles for financial services, construction, land development, healthcare, hospitality, commercial & residential real estate, and non-profit organizations in the areas of accounting, tax, and banking compliance.

 

Under his flagship company, Paul Hayden Developments, his primary focus is on land acquisition and development within the single-family housing space.  PHD’s current projects include 34 acres, 140 lot development in Huntsville, Texas, and 200 acres, 603 lot development in Sealy, Texas.   In addition to A&D, he works directly with legacy landowners to develop a multi-facet exit strategy that includes entitlements, best-use land development, and disposition of entitled land. Current Land Advisory services involve projects in the following areas: Richmond, Sinton, New Braunfels, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi locations.

 

Within BTR Advisors, LLC. Paul works directly either with sellers or buyers to bring projects to market.

 

Paul holds a BBA-Accounting from St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas, and an MBA from the University of Texas – San Antonio.
